What’s the Question?

Write a selection of answers on the board – students then think of questions which lead to those answers. There can be many different questions that lead to each answer.

Example Answers:
1. Fossil Fuel
2. The Sun
3. Coal

Possible Questions:
1. What kind of fuel is crude oil? What name is given to a fuel that takes a long time to form?
2. Where does the energy in coal ultimately come from?
3. Name a fossil fuel. Which fossil fuel is made from dead trees?

I usually get students to write their questions down in their books, then I pick a few of them randomly to share their questions with the class.
